Grilled grapefruit with rosemary and ginger

Ingredients:

  • 4 large red grapefruits ( I used also one orange for those who do not like grapefruit)
  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp chopped rosemary plus extra for garnish
  • 1/2 tsp ginger root powder

Preparation:

Wash the grapefruits and cut them in half. Cut of a thin part at the bottom of each half , so it will stand straight. Cut the meat “loose ” from the skin with a sharp knife so it will be easy to eat when ready.

Start by preheating the oven grill mode at 160℃.

Mix the sugar, ginger and rosemary in a bowl and spoon approx. 1/2 tsp on each grapefruit. Place the halves on a baking tray and place it in the oven and let grill until they start to smell good.

Let cool a little bit.

You can add some (plant based ) cream if you like.

You can also serve them for breakfast, a great way to start the day!
