Sneak preview of the Vegan trip to Tel Aviv (October 2018)

Everyday Plantpower is proud to organise her first exclusive Vegan Culinary Journey to Tel Aviv, Israel this October (October 7th until October14th. What exactly does that entail and what we are going to do?

Today I will tell you a little bit more about what we have in store for you, why we choose Tel Aviv, who I am and you will get a sneak preview of the workshops we will attend.

What do we have in store for you?

Tel Aviv, a city that combines an impressive history with a laid back modern life. It has a trendy, relaxed and easy going atmosphere, beautiful white sandy beaches and has all the facilities one could wish for. As far as plantbased food is concerned, expect more than burgers, humus and falafel, this is the vegan capital of the world where the words culinary and plantbased go hand in hand! A must visit for everyone, vegan and non-vegan alike!

You will be staying in a 4-star hotel, 50 meters from one of Tel Aviv’s most prominent and beautiful beaches with close proximity of the best shopping area’s, restaurants and bars. During the week I will show you around in Tel Aviv and of course we will visit all the highlights. Such as: the market of Crafts and Arts, Carmel foodmarket, Sarona Market – which is all about culinary excellence, the historic old city of Jaffo with its famous flea market and Namal Tel Aviv, -Israel’s first covered market which offers a range of fresh and seasonal items.

I will take you to the best 100% plantbased restaurants Tel Aviv has to offer, some even with dancing and music, a sure promise for happiness!

During our week we will pay a visit to Jerusalem with a private bus and driver and a private guide will show us the most important sites in this historical city (English spoken). During the second part of the day we will travel further east through the stunning desert towards the lowest point on our globe – 400 m below sea level – the Dead Sea. There we will access one of the private beaches were you can enjoy a mineral mud “bath” and float in the Dead Sea, which is a unique experience in itself.

We will complete our day with dinner in a local kibbutz.

Spread out over the week you will also participate in 3 high-end vegan workshops and of course you will have free time to enjoy the beach, shopping or what ever you like to do on your own.

The vegan workshops

Each of the 3 workshops will be led by a top-chef with many years of experience in preparing plantbased food – one of them even a national TV personality. These workshops are organised exclusively for Everyday Plantpower, so you will get all the attention you need. The worskhops will each take between 3 to 4 hours and at the end we will together enjoy the food we have prepared. Of course you receive the recipes of all the food you have learned to prepare, so you can take your experience home. Everything will be in English.

Here are some examples of food prepared by these chefs and of a workshop held previously:

Who is Brünhilde Albers from Everyday Plantpower?

Some 35 years ago I followed my heart and went to join my boyfriend who was Israeli and lived near Tel Aviv. During that time I learned to speak, read and write Hebrew fluently (and continued studying more Hebrew in the many years that followed). The relationship with him did not last, but my love for the country, the language, the culture, the stunning scenery and nature, the people and the food stayed. Since that period I regard Israel as my second home, where my best friends live and where I try to visit as much as possible. My love for Israel even intensified since I turned vegan and discovered that plantbased living In Israel is easier than here in the countryside of the Netherlands, where I currently live with my husband and our four boys.

I took the initiative for this trip to give others the possibility to experience the splendour of Israel, the warmth of the Israeli people, the lovely climate and of course the excellent vegan food. To be sure that everyone gets the attention they deserve the trip is limited to 8 people only. It does not matter whether you’re Dutch, German, Italian, American or from another country, it doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, what matters is that you are willing to let yourself be enchanted by the wonderful things Tel Aviv and Israel have to offer!

Worth mentioning is also that I am not only fluent in Hebrew and English, but also in Dutch (obviously), German, French and a little Swedish.

What do you get for your money?

Included are 7 nights in a 4-star hotel (with breakfast), 3 workshops (incl. dinner), a guided tour to Jerusalem and Dead Sea (incl. transportation, guide, entrance fee + mineral mud at the Dead Sea private beach and dinner in a kibbutz) and me being your guide and host during the entire trip.

I am excited, honoured and looking forward to accompany and guide you on this wonderful vegan culinary experience.

Feel welcome to join!
